This disclaimer applies to everything published on this website by Pratap Travel. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. Accuracy of information
We take care to keep this site accurate, but travel information dates quickly. Darshan and aarti timings, festival dates, temple opening and closing dates, government registration rules, road conditions and prices all change — often at short notice and without any announcement. Nothing on this site should be treated as a guarantee. Always confirm current details with us, or with the temple or authority concerned, before you travel or make a commitment.
2. Guides and articles
Our travel guides and blog articles are written to help you plan and reflect our experience of running these routes. They are general information, not professional advice — medical, legal, financial or religious. Where an article discusses altitude, fitness or health, it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor.
3. Photographs
Photographs on this site show the destination, the type of vehicle or the standard of accommodation. They are illustrative. The exact room, view, vehicle or weather you experience may differ. Some images are stock photography of the destination rather than of a specific property we use.
4. Prices
Prices shown are indicative starting rates, usually per person on the occupancy stated, and depend on season, group size, vehicle and availability. They are not an offer. Your quoted price is the one we confirm in writing at the time of booking.
5. Third-party services
Hotels, dharamshalas, transport operators, drivers, guides, helicopter operators and pony and palanquin services are independent providers. We select them with care and coordinate them for you, but we do not own or control them and are not responsible for their independent acts or omissions.
6. Health, fitness and altitude
Many of our yatras involve extended walking, steep steps, long road journeys and altitudes above 3,000 metres. Altitude sickness is a real risk on the Char Dham and Muktinath routes and can affect fit travellers as well as unfit ones. Each traveller is responsible for assessing their own fitness and for obtaining medical clearance where appropriate. We are not medical professionals and cannot advise on your fitness to travel.
7. Religious sites and customs
Access to temples, sanctums and ceremonies is controlled entirely by the temple authorities. Entry rules, dress codes, restrictions on non-Hindus, photography bans and queue systems are theirs to set and change. We cannot guarantee darshan, a particular queue, or entry to any specific shrine on any given day.
8. External links
Where we link to other websites — government portals, temple trusts, transport operators — we do so for convenience. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it.
9. Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, Pratap Travel is not liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information published on this site. Our contractual liability for a confirmed booking is set out in our Terms & Conditions.
