About Vidya
Vidya has guided pilgrims through Ayodhya since long before the Ram Mandir opened, and knows the town in a way no guidebook covers — which gate moves fastest on a Tuesday, where the quiet corners of Kanak Bhawan are, and the Ramcharitmanas verses that belong to each place you stand in.
She trained in Sanskrit at Faizabad and reads the Ramayana in the original, which is why her Ram Katha commentary along the Saryu is the part most families remember. She travels with senior pilgrims often and paces a day around them rather than the other way round.
