Krishna's birthplace and the town of his childhood. The Janmasthan complex at Mathura, Banke Bihari and the old temples of Vrindavan, Prem Mandir after dark, and the Yamuna aarti at Vishram Ghat.
Arrive at Mathura Junction and check in. We begin at Shri Krishna Janmasthan, the temple complex built around the prison cell where Krishna is believed to have been born — security is strict and phones stay in the vehicle. Then Dwarkadhish Temple, the centre of Mathura's festival life.
Evening Vishram Ghat aarti on the Yamuna. Overnight in Mathura or Vrindavan.
Early darshan at Banke Bihari Temple — the curtain is drawn and closed at intervals rather than left open, a darshan unlike any other. Then Radha Raman and Nidhivan, among the oldest and most atmospheric sites in Vrindavan.
After lunch, Prem Mandir and ISKCON Vrindavan. If time allows we add Gokul or a drive past Govardhan Hill. Drop at Mathura Junction in the evening.
