The two most sacred cities of the Ganga plain in one journey. Sunrise on the Kashi ghats, darshan at the Vishwanath Jyotirlinga, the evening Ganga aarti at Dashashwamedh, then across to Ayodhya for the Ram Janmabhoomi and the Saryu.
Arrive in Varanasi and check in. Late afternoon we walk down to Dashashwamedh Ghat for the evening Ganga aarti — we arrive early enough to get a seat on the steps, or take a boat for the wider view. Overnight in Varanasi.
Pre-dawn start for the sunrise boat ride from Assi Ghat past Manikarnika — the classic Kashi morning. Then darshan at Kashi Vishwanath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, entering through the Vishwanath Dham corridor, followed by Annapurna Devi and Kaal Bhairav.
Afternoon rest through the midday temple closure, then Sankat Mochan and Durga Kund. Overnight in Varanasi.
Morning at Sarnath, where the Buddha gave his first sermon — the Dhamek Stupa and the museum. After lunch we drive to Ayodhya, roughly four hours. Evening at Ram Ki Paidi for the Saryu aarti. Overnight in Ayodhya.
Early Saryu snan, then Hanuman Garhi and Ram Janmabhoomi darshan, followed by Kanak Bhawan. Drop at the station or airport after lunch.
